What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small browser files used by websites and service providers. Local storage is a browser facility that can retain data for a website without sending that data automatically with every request.

Current first-party storage

The website uses local storage when you save calculations and may use it for limited interface preferences. The progressive web app also uses a service worker and browser cache to make core pages and calculator assets available more reliably, including during intermittent connectivity.

Advertising cookies

When Google AdSense or another approved advertising service is activated, advertising vendors may set or read cookies and similar identifiers to deliver, limit, measure or personalize ads. Personalized advertising will be controlled through the applicable consent and privacy systems.

Analytics

No third-party analytics tag is included in the Stage 9 package. If analytics is introduced later, this policy will be updated to identify the provider, purpose, retention and consent treatment.

Managing storage

You can delete saved calculations inside the website, clear site data in your browser, block cookies or use browser privacy controls. Blocking storage may disable saved calculations, offline caching or advertising preferences but the core calculator should remain usable.

Consent changes

When advertising consent tools are enabled, the footer will include a privacy-choices mechanism allowing eligible users to revisit or revoke consent. This control must be tested on the production domain before advertising launches.
